Our physiotherapists are fully registered with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia, and they are members of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Robinder Gill (Robin) is a certified Gunn IMS provider. Robin also has 'FITforeGOLF' training and certification.

At North Kamloops Physiotherapy, we believe in "good care with a good heart." Our most recent owner, Robinder "Robin" Gill, has brought to the clinic over 14 years of clinical experience in physiotherapy. He also has a passion for helping his patients to stay on top of their golf game. He has learned advanced assessment and rehabilitation techniques for golf-related injuries from the FITforeGOLF Institute in Calgary. Understanding that pain should never keep you from doing what you love most, Robin has advanced his training in treating golf injuries. With his passion and determination as our standard, our clinic believes in providing innovative, effective and proven treatment techniques such as Shockwave therapy and Intra-muscular stimulation (IMS) to combat several types of painful conditions.

Robinder Gill

Robinder GillRobin has been the proud owner of North Kamloops Physiotherapy clinic since 2011.
Robin completed his Bachelors degree in Physiotherapy in 1998 and then a Masters degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from University of South Australia in 2000. He practiced physiotherapy in Alberta for 9 years before moving to the beautiful province of British Columbia. He is good tennis player and also enjoys an active lifestyle be it playing golf, going for hikes or working out in the gym. He got certified in a Gunn IMS (Intra-muscular stimulation) dry needling techinque in 2010 from ISTOP Burnaby (Institute for Study of Pain). He has been very successful in treating several patients suffering from chronic pain over the recent years in Kamloops. Robin believes in taking the time to thoroughly assess his patients so that a robust and effective physiotherapy treatment program can be initiated.

Monica Maka - Associate physiotherapist. Bsc. PT

Monica MakaMonica Makar has been at the North Kamloops Physio clinic for 10 years and has 20 years of physiotherapy experience. She graduated with a Bsc in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta. She has worked successfully with patients treating everything from back and neck pain to sports related injuries as well as WCB and ICBC injuries.Monica is an avid sports enthusiast with favorite past times including hockey, curling, baseball and soccer. When she isn't playing sports herself, she is watching her 2 boys play their sports or coaching them in their competitive curling endeavors. Monica has first hand experience with a variety of sports injuries and this background has given her valuable knowledge when treating these injuries.Monica uses a variety of treatment modalites including manual therapy, core stabilization training, exercise prescription as well as electrotherapy, ultrasound and shockwave therapy. She likes to work with individuals to not only improve pain and function but also to provide tools that you can use to maintain a healthy, pain - free life.Monica invites you to bring in your aches and pains, no matter the cause, so you can start on a path to better health today.

Ricadina (Rita) Jara - Regd Physiotherapist. Bsc. PT

Ricadina Jara

Rita is currently enrolled in a Masters program in Rehabiliation science at UBC. She also enjoys travelling around the world. Rita is an internationally educated physiotherapist from Lima -Peru . She graduated from the Federico Villarreal University in 1994. Because Rita recognizes the importance of always improving her skills she completed her courses on Musculoskeletal based acupuncture and Dry Needling. She completed her IMS training in 2019. She enjoys treating acute and chronic injuries and uses both manual skills and exercise programs to maximize injury recovery. Rita combines her experience working in private practice as well in public as community physiotherapist since 2012.
